Welcome to the Spring 2026 Psychiatric Society of Virginia Meeting held at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. The theme for this year's meeting is, "Exploring Diagnostic Dilemmas through Case Studies." This theme was inspired by those times in the doctor's lounge when you seek out a colleague's second opinion, the times when you seek out a medical student just to tell them what happened, and the times when you wake up in the middle of the night because the solution has just appeared in your mind. Join us to hear from your colleagues about the cases that they just can't stop thinking about.
We will have our usual Friday evening reception to meet our colleagues from across the Commonwealth and to interact with local legislators. We will hear key updates from our legislative advisors and have an opportunity to ask questions about advocacy efforts. While staying at the resort, guests are invited to take advantage of all Kingsmill has to offer! Please visit their website to see all activities and amenities.
Our main scientific session will be held on Saturday, and we have a variety of cases to keep you learning and engaged. We will start off the morning with a jeopardy style competition to crown one residency the smartest in Virginia. Then we will transition to the presentations, which will be a collection of individual speakers presenting their own series of cases, and panels of speakers presenting cases with similar themes.
It is always such a pleasure to learn from our colleagues and distinguished guests, and I am excited to pilot this new format. These conferences allow us to engage in our field, and stay connected as a community. I am looking forward to seeing all of you this Spring.
Sincerely,
Dr. Janie Lozovski
