The Psychiatric Society of Virginia's Spring meeting for 2023 is entitled “Emerging Therapies: Frontiers in Psychiatry." The presentations will inform the participants on the subjects of Emerging Therapies in psychiatry. Participants will be able to: Assess potential future developments in the field of TMS and Therapeutic Neuromodulation, interpret rules and regulations in the changing world of Psychiatry, evaluate and review recent research applying machine learning and pharmacogenetics to predicting treatment response to pharmacotherapy in depression and alcohol use disorder, examine unique opportunities psychedelic-assisted therapies offer for healing and growth in patients with serious illness, evaluate the clinical utility of pharmacogenetics in psychiatric practice, and integrate es/ketamine's place in the treatment algorithm for treatment-resistant depression and important referral and evaluation considerations.
