2023 PSV Spring Meeting | March 17 - 18, 2023

General Information

The Psychiatric Society of Virginia's Spring meeting for 2023 is entitled “Emerging Therapies:  Frontiers in Psychiatry."  The presentations will inform the participants on the subjects of Emerging Therapies in psychiatry.  Participants will be able to: Assess potential future developments in the field of TMS and Therapeutic Neuromodulation,  interpret rules and regulations in the changing world of Psychiatry, evaluate and review recent research applying machine learning and pharmacogenetics to predicting treatment response to pharmacotherapy in depression and alcohol use disorder, examine unique opportunities psychedelic-assisted therapies offer for healing and growth in patients with serious illness, evaluate the clinical utility of pharmacogenetics in psychiatric practice, and integrate es/ketamine's place in the treatment algorithm for treatment-resistant depression and important referral and evaluation considerations.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and Psychiatric Society of Virginia. The APA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The APA designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
