2022 PSV Spring Meeting | February 25 - 26, 2022

I am pleased to announce that our PSV Spring Meeting will be on February 25-26, 2022 at the Westin in Richmond. The theme for the meeting is Integrative Psychiatry. We will hear from various experts in novel treatments and alternative therapies. This meeting will be held in person and COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC will be closely followed. We are working closely with the Westin team to ensure that strict protocol is followed for everyone’s safety.

We will have our usual Friday evening reception to meet our colleagues from across Virginia and to interact with local legislators. We will hear key updates from our legislative advisors and have an opportunity to ask questions about advocacy efforts. In addition to the reception, participants will also have the opportunity to tour Greenleaf (gLeaf) medical cannabis dispensary. Local attendees can tour the facility on Thursday evening and out-of-town attendees can tour the facility on Friday evening.

Our main scientific session will be held on Saturday, and we have an exciting panel of faculty. We will start off the morning learning about advances in psychedelic assisted psychotherapies. From there we will turn to look at meditation and yoga incorporated in psychotherapy. I am pleased to announce that we will have two physicians from the University of Pennsylvania discussing the collaborative care model. Later in the day, we will hear about CBD/THC and its efficacy in medicine. That will be followed by a talk about the connection between nutrition and mental health. Our final speaker of the day is Dr. Madiha Saeed, the best-selling author of  “The Holistic Rx”.  Her talk will focus on a holistic approach to parenting.

Our Spring Meeting is sure to be an exciting event and I looking forward to seeing all of you there!
