Jointly Provided by the American Psychiatric Association and the Psychiatric Society of Virginia.
The Psychiatric Society of Virginia's spring meeting for 2020 is entitled "Promoting Resilience While Reducing Risk." The presentations will inform the participants on the subjects of: 1) the value of practicing safe psychiatric treatment and 2) provide a better understanding of ethical and legal dilemmas that may arise from the treatment of patients with mental illness.
These are all intended to inform those who practice medicine in order to improve decision-making and delivery of health care services to our patients.
Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the Psychiatric Society of Virginia. The APA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation
The American Psychiatric Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
